Travel theme: Mystical (Araneta Tree)

More than 20-feet tall Christmas Tree in Araneta, Cubao

Christmas is almost near. If you don’t know yet, Christmas is really big in the Philippines. You will hear Christmas songs in the mall as early as September then we celebrate the whole month of December. We hear mass as early as 4 or 5 am in a nine-day series. We call it simbang gabi or a night mass which starts on December 16 to the 24th. We love to give gifts to our loved ones which were usually distributed after Noche Buena, eve of Christmas.

We should not forget the real meaning of Christmas, birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Let’s remember and thank Him for all the good things He has showered upon us. The real Christmas spirit is all about giving, sharing, forgiving and loving.

So, Why I chose this? We all know the Mystical meaning of Christmas. Jesus’ birth alone is mystical. Don’t you agree?

I took this photo while going and after work. I stopped and just stared at this giant tree every time I pass by the bridge of Araneta. They have this up every year since 1989. Lots of childhood memories coming into my head. 🙂

Let’s take a closer look. Okay, sponsored by Coca-cola. Hahaha
